Krong Kam

About

Experience 'Krong Kam', a captivating stage play presented as part of the 2026 Thesis Theatre Festival by Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University. This production is an adaptation of the renowned novel by Chulamanee, brought to life on stage by the Department of Dramatic Arts and Creative Entrepreneurship.

The script is adapted by Nattapol Pho-kaew and directed by Watcharapol Rattanateewat.

The story transports audiences to 1967 in Chum Saeng District, Nakhon Sawan Province. It follows the dramatic arrival of Renu, a bar girl, into the Bae family as the eldest daughter-in-law, challenging the matriarch Yoi's authority.

The Bae household becomes a metaphorical cage, trapping its inhabitants as they navigate love, revenge, and the consequences of their actions. This powerful narrative explores whether anyone can truly escape the 'cage of karma'.
