[Théâtre] Et pendant ce temps, Simone veille !

The acclaimed French play "Et pendant ce temps, Simone veille!" ("Meanwhile, Simone Is Watching Over Us!") returns to Bangkok for two special performances. Created in 2013, this play has been continuously performed in Paris for over a decade, with more than 1,800 shows to its name.

The play follows the story of three women across four generations, guided by a witty and committed Simone. She punctuates the narrative with key dates from major feminist struggles in France, from the 1950s to the present day. Three actresses embody these women, their hopes, compromises, and battles.

With humor and sharp insight, the play highlights significant social advances while also shedding light on persistent realities like the gender pay gap, mental load, and everyday sexism. It emphasizes the essential link between the personal and the political, underscoring that gender equality remains a daily struggle that fuels new feminisms and makes visible the fights of younger generations.
